If you or someone you know develops symptoms of meningitis or septicaemia, seek medical help urgently by going to the nearest Accident and Emergency department or calling 999.

 

The following people are also eligible for antibiotics - 

  • All students and staff living on campus at UoK
  • Close contacts of cases or who self-identify as having contact with a confirmed case
  • Club chemistry staff
  • Club chemistry attendees 05-07/03 inclusive

Please contact the surgery by phone if you meet the above criteria between 0800-18.30 Mon-Fri or you can attend the following without an appointment- 

1. Senate Building University of Kent open until 8pm on 16/03/26 (queue closes 7.15 pm) and 9am-8pm on 17/03/26 University of Kent Canterbury Kent CT2 7NZ.

2. Gate Clinic, Kent and Canterbury Hospital site Kent and Canterbury Hospital, Ethelbert Road, Canterbury CT1 3NG. Open until 8pm on 16/03. To open 8.30am to 7.30pm on the 17/03/2026.

3) Westgate Hall
Westgate Hall, Westgate Hall Road, Canterbury, Kent, CT1 2BT. Open 8.30am-7.30pm on 17/03/2026.
